MOB still going strong at Churchlands Road but we have lost quite a few members to The Grim Reaper.  We still meet every Monday afternoon at 1.30 pm and have interesting speakers and entertainment.  Come along and join us - a Bedminster welcome awaits !

Our New Home

Hello everyone just to let you all know that I have been a little late advising you of our move to a new home SORRY. We are now resident at the United Reform Church Hall in Stanley Street South that's just off of West Street Bedminster and its easy to find as it is behind the 2nd bus Stop going out of Bristol via West Street. You are all welcome to join us providing you are over 50 years of age, I will be adding and editing the picture of our new premises and deleting the old one at ACTA I must add we have just had a great day out on our normal day we meet which is a Monday the 19/05/2008 this was to Weymouth. I hpoe to update this Blog more often in the future and will try and get from Brian Richards the itinery for future events at our club "Memories Of Bedminster" Cheers for now Mike (Calibrator1)

Christmas is a coming

Christmas this year 2007 for the M.O.B will be held on the 17th of December 2007 it will again be held at the Vetinary College/Treatment Centre at Long Ashton Nr Bristol. this venue was given all round approval by M.O.B members, as last years at the same venue turned out to be excellent, and was enjoyed by everyone. Yes we did have a Father Christmas, although he was getting on a bit, Note:- his sack was a little bit too heavy for him and he had a little difficulty with the presse inside, Oh and by the way he brought his own Mistletoe, anticipating he would get some offers........ NO SUCH LUCK. I am informed he is bringing the WHOLE TREE this year. Anyway have a very happy Christmas to ALL members

what happens at the M.O.B

All sorts of happenings happen at the MOB. Valuable information from persons from all walks of life, Contributions from The Theatre Royal front of house manager after which we were all invited to a visit to the Theatre. We also have visits to interesting places which also includes visits to seaside visits, films of interests are also shown which includes history of the Bedminster area, plus war events. our last event on Monday the 24th of September 2007 being a visit of the singing group the Keynotes.
