The outing on the 20th of August 2007
The memories of Bedminster group all met up at British Road for a coach to take us to Topsham where we were to board a slave ship for transportation to Exmouth. During the journey there was grog past around and a great deal of wailing, I think this was meant to be singing. Due to this the boat crew could NOT stand this any longer and eventually threw the slaves out of the boat at Exmouth, there was where an invasion of shops carried out. It was also found there being a lot of loose ladies prowelling the Exmouth streets and it is believed that a number of husbands may have been mugged to pay for certain purchases of clothing?. We all finally finish up at Burnham on Sea unknown to its council, who I am sure would have called the army back from Iraq to make sure of law and order. The coach driver from Arnold Liddell Coaches finally got rid of this MOB at near South Street before putting himself in a home to recuperate.
